Jamaas Britton

Jamaas Britton is a New York–based actor originally from Somerset, New Jersey, and raised in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. He earned his BFA in Musical Theatre from a small four-year college in South Carolina and later completed his MFA in Drama at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Jamaas has worked extensively in commercials, short films, plays, and musicals throughout his career, performing both in and beyond the Carolinas. He recently relocated to New York City to further expand his artistic and professional opportunities.

Since graduating, Jamaas has remained active in developing his craft and building his creative portfolio. He received the Best Actor award at the New Jersey Short Film Festival for his performance in A Comfortable Bed. As a writer and producer, he penned a play that was selected as a winner in the Amplify Black Theatre Voices Festival in Greensboro, NC, and has produced original projects during his graduate studies.

Outside of his work, Jamaas enjoys playing bass guitar, keeping up with TikTok trends, and escaping to the beach when the weather allows. He aspires to start his own theatre company and is passionate about teaching and advocating for the importance of theatre and the arts for people of all ages.
